Mário Montenegro
Theatre director, actor, playwright, professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Coimbra and researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies. He is the artistic director of Marionet, a theatre company focused on the interplay between theatre and science, and his research is centered around this same subject.

Gil Vicente Academic Theatre
Fernando Matos Oliveira
Director of the PhD Programme in Art Studies at the University of Coimbra, where he teaches in the areas of Performance and Theatre Studies. His main areas of interest are Modern and Contemporary Theatre, and Performance Art. He has been Director of the Academic Theatre of the University of Coimbra since 2011 and Senior Researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies.

Teresa Girão
Director of the Botanic Garden (University of Coimbra) and researcher in science communication at the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet (CFE). Her research activity was firstly focused on the field of biotechnology and neuroscience. She now focuses on the impact of science and technology and of science communication activities to society.

Sara Varela Amaral
Head of Science Communication Office at CNC. Sara has been involved in several projects that aim to establish innovative strategies that promote the appropriate communication between scientists and different audiences, and to foster scientific education in biomedical field. Her research interests are science communication strategies, impact evaluation methods, scientific culture and citizenship, public engagement in science, science education, fundraising and art and science initiatives.

Cláudia Morais
With a bachelor and a masters degree in Artistic Studies (Theatre, Cinema and Music) by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, she’s been working in the cultural area since 2011, developing regular activity in the areas of production, communication, photography and educational service. She’s currently a fellowship from the University of Coimbra, collaborating with Gil Vicente Academic Theatre and LIPA – Laboratory for Investigating and Practicing Art.
