Theatre About Science: Knowledge, Engagement and Action

Following the third edition of the Theatre About Science conference we are going to publish a book with some contributions arising from the conference but also open to other contributions within this interdisciplinary field.

The volume’s thematic guidelines are coincident with those of the 2025 conference, aiming at giving an account of contemporary performing arts and science intersections through a compilation of selected works.

These are the relevant dates:
➔ Deadline for submitting the abstract | 30 SEP 2026
➔ Confirmation of acceptance of the proposal | 31 OCT 2026
➔ Deadline for submitting the first draft | 28 JAN 2027
➔ Publication of the book | OCT 2027

Theatre about Science intends to map and reflect upon intersections of theatre and science, promote exchange and enlarge the knowledge on the field, trace the evolution of previous trends and identify new types of crossovers. One additional perspective guiding this conference is to promote the encounter of the artistic and the science communication worlds.
On its third edition, the event continues to instigate and welcome both sides of this equation, provoking fruitful discussions and eventually enlightening multiple motivations and perspectives.
